Blackwall Reach, Housing Design Award Winner 2026

We are delighted that Blackwall Reach has been recognised at the Housing Design Awards 2026 and are proud to have won the NHBC Award for Completed Schemes.

At the heart of Blackwall Reach is its community. The success of the completed landscape owes a huge amount to the residents whose input, commitment and continued care have helped shape the spaces and allowed them to thrive.

Located on the sensitive site of the former Robin Hood Gardens estate in Poplar, the landscape has been designed to preserve, protect and enhance the character and ecology of the site while creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for both existing and new residents.

The completed landscape integrates play, public art developed with local people, generous planting and a thriving community garden, creating opportunities for people to meet, play, grow and spend time outdoors. The public realm brings these elements together as part of a cohesive landscape designed around everyday community life.

Seeing these spaces established, used and cared for by residents is an important part of the project’s success, and we are incredibly pleased to see Blackwall Reach recognised by the Housing Design Awards 2026.
