Blackwall Reach Community Garden Workshop and completion of Phase 2B

After recent completion of Phase 2B of the Blackwall reach Millennium Green Park, SLD organised a series of community garden workshops encouraging residents to sign up as green champions   The workshops were part of our social value promise to our client, we presented community garden proposals to residents and discussed the benefits and the opportunities that a community garden could provide to the local community both young and old.  We set out plots on site for residents and helped them set up a WhatsApp group which had rules and regulations agreed with the client an users.  After a success workshop with over twenty residents signing up for grow your own plots, the client provided a Gardening start up pack to help residents get started to grow their own vegetables.
