DEVONS POPLAR HARCA

Devons Estate is an exciting large regeneration project for social housing in east london. SLD worked with Baily Garner and Poplar Harca presenting a series of ideas to residents through consultation.  We worked on the project from inception to tender and were appointed by the winning contractor Gavin Jones as design consultants to develop the scheme to completion on site.

The project included extensive collaboration with artists who also worked with the local community.  The central garden included play areas, MUGAs, bespoke seating and enhancement of the community centre.  The main garden square has a vast range of fragrant plants and was used by the BBC CBeebies for filming the Secret Garden and Apple TreeHouse.
