SPRINGFIELD TOOTING

Standerwick Land Design were commissioned to deliver Phase 5A & 5B Mews Housing located to the north of the wider masterplan. Phase 5A & 5B consist primarily of private residential homes with a commercial unit opposite the proposed Chapel Square. The wider masterplan includes new and refurbished NHS facilities (located in the listed Springfield University Hospital), care homes, on site accommodation and a number of external spaces and parkland. The site is also located adjacent to Wandsworth Common and Magdalen Park Conservation Areas.

There are 227 units (49 houses & 178 apartments) with a mixture of affordable, rented & shared ownership tenures. The character and scale of the residential homes are sympathetic to their surroundings and are positioned to provide communal spaces, private gardens and play areas on each mews. This creates a series of smaller scale spaces that are accessible to the adjacent homes. There is also a play space and publicly accessible garden located within Phase 5B. Existing trees are retained on site with 78 semi-mature new trees, 1200lm of various hedgerows & 2700m2 of shrub planting, wildflower meadows and bulb planting.
